Cycles of Nature by Eric Ostling sheet music
From the Composer: 'Cycles of Nature' is a set of 12 pieces written for flute with optional piano accompaniment. Each movement attempts to reflect impressions from the natural world during a specific month of the Gregorian calendar. The entire set does not need to be played in its entirety; rather, the soloist is free to select and chose from among the movements to suit the requirements of a given performance. In this way, a variety of possibilities are obtained, from a single movement for unaccompanied flute to a full sonata with piano. Description of parts: a. Flute part printed on quality paper with cardstock cover, staple bound. b. Piano part printed on quality paper with coated, spiral binding, sturdy covers, front and back. c. CD recording of piece with Elizabeth Ostling, Associate Principal Flute, Boston Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by composer on piano. |
